Change the Way You Eat
Have Water Before Meals
Taking a lot of liquids when you eat your meals will make stomach acid get diluted and the food cannot be digested properly. For better digestion, try to drink water or other liquids at least half hour before meals.
Slow Down
When you eat too fast, you swallow a lot of air. This can lead to more gas in your digestive tract. Try to eat slowly to avoid excess gas.
Chew Your Food Thoroughly
Gas is mostly produced when the food is not properly digested. In order to reduce gas production and accelerate food digestion, chew thoroughly each bite. Thoroughly chewed food will be digested faster and will not sit in your intestines leading to foul smelling flatulence.
Avoid Chewing Gum
When you chew gum or suck on mints or hard candies, you are actually swallowing air. This extra air can get accumulated in the tummy and make you bloated. For a fresh breath, try to brush your teeth after every meal rather than chewing mints or gums for the purpose.
Ditch the Straw
When you use a straw to sip beverages, you are swallowing extra air, which can cause gas problem. To reduce excess gas, sip directly from the glass.
Have a Healthy Diet
The most effective way to reduce gas problem is to eat the right foods and avoid unhealthy and junk foods. Caffeine rich beverages, sugar laden treats, fatty and fried snacks and processed food items can lead to gas trouble. Some very healthy foods are also notorious to produce excess gas, such as beans and broccoli. This is due to their very high fiber content. Avoid eating the unhealthy foods and try to eat a balanced and healthy diet.
Get Active
Walking

Count to five and let go. Then do the same with the other leg. After that bring both knees towards your chest and wrap your arms around your knees. Pull them close to your chest. This will push extra gas through your belly and expel it.
Child's Pose

Then lower your forehead to the mat. You will feel pressure on your tummy and a slight stretch in your back. Hold the pose for half a minute and get back to starting point.
